MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool Access Control

MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool can be deployed on the same server as the other web apps or on a remote server that communicates with MATRIXX Engine through Gateway Proxy and RS Gateway.

MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool supports multiple types of access control:
  • Use the default MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool security configuration. For information about configuring users for the default security configuration, see the discussion about defining MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool users.
  • Use standard LDAP implementations, such as OpenLDAP or Apache DS™. You configure LDAP settings for MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool in the /opt/mtx/conf/matrixxbct.yaml configuration file.
  • Use a third-party identity and access management service. For more information, see the discussion about OAuth 2.0 identity and access management.
Note: If LDAP or OAuth 2.0 are enabled, user passwords are managed in the respective application and cannot be managed in MATRIXX Backoffice Customer Tool.
