Create an Eligibility Rule

Use the Eligibility interface to create a new eligibility rule.

Procedure

  1. In Catalog Configuration, click Eligibility.
  2. In Eligibility Rules, click New Eligibility Rule.
  3. In Create New Eligibility Rule, in Name, enter a unique name to represent the eligibility rule.
  4. In Object Type, select the rule type as Catalog Item, Subscriber, Group, or Device.
  5. In Entity Type, select whether the rule applies to an Attribute or a Feature.
  6. Click Create.
  7. In Edit Eligibility Rule, if you selected Attribute as the Entity Type:
    1. Select the MATRIXX Data Container (MDC) container from Container Name.
    2. In Attribute Name, select the MDC field based on the MDC container selected in Container Name.
    3. In Value, enter a value based on the selected attribute name. If this field is left blank, the rule checks whether the selected attribute is present.
  8. In Edit Eligibility Rule, if you selected Feature as the Entity Type:
    1. Select the eligibility feature from Feature.
    2. In Value, enter the value associated with the selected eligibility feature. If this field is left blank, the rule checks whether the selected eligibility feature is present.
  9. Click Save.
