Charging Configuration
Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
Tax Configuration
Tax Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage tax classes and selectors, and US taxation. You must have the Manage Tax domain user role to enable this menu.
Tax Classes
You can set up tax classes that determine either the percentage rate for taxes or a fixed tax value, and how taxes are to be reported in general ledger (GL) postings. Tax classes are referenced from product offer application profiles; the profiles specify how taxes are to be calculated for charges owned by the offer on a per charge application type basis.
Create a Tax Class Revision
A new revision of a tax class creates a new copy of a selected tax class. The operation does not create a new pricing file in the pricing plan.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  The following information describes the My MATRIXX interface.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configuration to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles, and generators.

  The following information describes the tasks that can be performed using the My MATRIXX Home menu.
- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.
- Charging Configuration
  Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
  - Balance Configuration
    Balance Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage price components including aggregation selectors, balances and balance classes, balance state update profiles and components, meters, and rollover profiles and components.
  - Pricing Configuration
    Pricing Configuration contains interfaces you use to create pricing plan components. Pricing plan components managed through this interface include decision tables, finance and service contracts, filters, price components including charges, discounts, grants, refunds, and forfeitures, and rate tags.
  - Offer and Bundle Configuration
    Offer and Bundle Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage pricing and rating components including bundles, offer priority generators, product offers, and product service types and attributes.
  - Normalizer Configuration
    Normalizer Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage normalizers, normalizer templates, and normalizer value lists.
  - Tax Configuration
    Tax Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage tax classes and selectors, and US taxation. You must have the Manage Tax domain user role to enable this menu.
    - Tax Setting
      Use Tax Setting to enable US taxation and select the provider type.
    - Tax Selectors
      Tax selectors enable MATRIXX Engine to dynamically select a tax (or a set of taxes) to apply to charges based on specified criteria. Tax selectors define the criteria and indicate the tax selection profiles that apply to the criteria. The tax selection profile contains the tax class identifiers of the tax (or set of taxes) to apply.
    - Tax Classes

      - Create or Change a Tax Class
        You create tax classes that can be associated with product offers. For a given product offer, pricing administrators associate tax classes with each price component application. After tax classes are committed to the pricing repository, tax classes appear in My MATRIXX in the Tax/GST tab of the product offer definition.
      - Create a Tax Class Revision
        A new revision of a tax class creates a new copy of a selected tax class. The operation does not create a new pricing file in the pricing plan.
      - Delete a Tax Class
        You can delete a tax class that is no longer needed. You must remove a tax class from any pricing items that might contain it before you can delete it.
      - Tax Class Properties
        pricing/r_tax_classes_properties.html#reference_6D8EB3710A90439088805EF2603D765E__table_F3D61CBC14644D6696FA886BB01EBEC3 describes tax class object properties. Tax class objects are referenced from product offers. If taxes are added by a downstream system outside of MATRIXX Engine, some fields are optional as noted.
    - US Taxes
      US Taxes provides a dashboard showing a list of pending and completed US tax compilations. Use this view to import, manage, download, and delete US tax compilations.
  - General Configuration
    General Configuration has interfaces you use to create pricing plan components. Pricing plan components managed through this interface include announcements, product and system attributes and definitions, currency codes for rate tables, denial codes, field definitions for use in normalizers and rate tables, Diameter Final-Unit-Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, General Ledger (GL) transaction types and info generators, grace period profiles, languages, notification profiles, parameter definitions, pre/post-rating profiles and generators, SH Repository data, Subscriber Information Query components, tax classes for offer categorization, usage quota profiles and components, purge profiles, virtual fields, and usage triggers.
  - Application Configuration
    Application Configuration components are used by My MATRIXX for creating pricing plan items and are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

Create a Tax Class Revision

A new revision of a tax class creates a new copy of a selected tax class. The operation does not create a new pricing file in the pricing plan.

About this task

A new revision creates a new iteration of the tax class and increments its revision ID by one integer. For example, from 1130067-0 to 1130067-1.

Procedure

In Tax Classes, click the tax class for which to create a new revision.
In Edit Tax Class, click New Revision to create a revision of the selected tax class.
Make the necessary changes to the tax class name, external ID, start date and time, rate, fixed tax, or tax recognition type.

Click Save.
To return to the Tax Classes list, click Tax Classes in the breadcrumbs.
