Charging Configuration
Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
Tax Configuration
Tax Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage tax classes and selectors, and US taxation. You must have the Manage Tax domain user role to enable this menu.
Tax Selectors
Tax selectors enable MATRIXX Engine to dynamically select a tax (or a set of taxes) to apply to charges based on specified criteria. Tax selectors define the criteria and indicate the tax selection profiles that apply to the criteria. The tax selection profile contains the tax class identifiers of the tax (or set of taxes) to apply.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  The following information describes the My MATRIXX interface.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configuration to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles, and generators.

  The following information describes the tasks that can be performed using the My MATRIXX Home menu.
- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.

  Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
  - Balance Configuration
    Balance Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage price components including aggregation selectors, balances and balance classes, balance state update profiles and components, meters, and rollover profiles and components.
  - Pricing Configuration
    Pricing Configuration contains interfaces you use to create pricing plan components. Pricing plan components managed through this interface include decision tables, finance and service contracts, filters, price components including charges, discounts, grants, refunds, and forfeitures, and rate tags.
  - Offer and Bundle Configuration
    Offer and Bundle Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage pricing and rating components including bundles, offer priority generators, product offers, and product service types and attributes.

    Normalizer Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage normalizers, normalizer templates, and normalizer value lists.
  - Tax Configuration
    Tax Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage tax classes and selectors, and US taxation. You must have the Manage Tax domain user role to enable this menu.
    - Tax Setting
      Use Tax Setting to enable US taxation and select the provider type.
    - Tax Selectors
      Tax selectors enable MATRIXX Engine to dynamically select a tax (or a set of taxes) to apply to charges based on specified criteria. Tax selectors define the criteria and indicate the tax selection profiles that apply to the criteria. The tax selection profile contains the tax class identifiers of the tax (or set of taxes) to apply.
      - Tax Selection Profiles
        When you want MATRIXX Engine to select which taxes to apply to charges based on the presence of one or more criteria associated with the charges (taxes to be applied are selected dynamically), you create a tax selection profile to contain the list of the tax classes to apply. A tax selection profile is used in a product offer application profile using a tax selector. Tax selection profiles are reusable pricing items that can be contained in one or more tax selectors.

        Tax selectors are pricing items that are used for selecting a tax selection profile based on specified criteria.
        Create a Tax Selector
        Create a tax selector to group tax selection profiles.
        Change a Tax Selector
        Change a tax selector to include different tax selection profiles.
        Copy a Tax Selector
        Copy an existing tax selector to make a near-duplicate of it when creating several similar tax selectors.
        Delete a Tax Selector
        If there are multiple revisions of a tax selector, you can delete a revision even if that revision is in use provided that at least one revision remains in the pricing plan. You cannot delete a tax selector that is being used by a product offer, and you cannot delete the last remaining revision of a tax selector if it is in use.       - Tax-Selector Component Corrections and Revisions
        Tax selectors and tax selection profiles are revisioned pricing items. You can make corrections to existing revisions or make new revisions.
    - Tax Classes
      You can set up tax classes that determine either the percentage rate for taxes or a fixed tax value, and how taxes are to be reported in general ledger (GL) postings. Tax classes are referenced from product offer application profiles; the profiles specify how taxes are to be calculated for charges owned by the offer on a per charge application type basis.
    - US Taxes
      US Taxes provides a dashboard showing a list of pending and completed US tax compilations. Use this view to import, manage, download, and delete US tax compilations.
  - General Configuration
    General Configuration has interfaces you use to create pricing plan components. Pricing plan components managed through this interface include announcements, product and system attributes and definitions, currency codes for rate tables, denial codes, field definitions for use in normalizers and rate tables, Diameter Final-Unit-Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, General Ledger (GL) transaction types and info generators, grace period profiles, languages, notification profiles, parameter definitions, pre/post-rating profiles and generators, SH Repository data, Subscriber Information Query components, tax classes for offer categorization, usage quota profiles and components, purge profiles, virtual fields, and usage triggers.
  - Application Configuration
    Application Configuration components are used by My MATRIXX for creating pricing plan items and are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

Tax Selector Properties

This reference describes tax selector properties.

Tax Selector Properties lists the tax selector properties.

Property	Description
ID	A unique, positive integer that identifies the tax selector in MATRIXX Engine.
Name	A descriptive name for the tax selector.
Description	Information about the purpose of the selector.
External ID	(Optional) Use this field to identify this item in MATRIXX pricing items. An External ID is saved to the pricing configuration file and loaded into the Pricing Database. Set the External ID value to any alphanumeric character that is meaningful to your implementation. An External ID can be used, for example, to relate offers in the MATRIXX system to products in an external pricing plan. It can be used, for example, by the Subscriber Management API to query and purchase product offers and bundle IDs.
Start Date/Time	Date on which the object becomes active in the pricing database and is first available for use. Optionally, enter a time for when the object becomes active. The default value is midnight.
Tax Selector Tables	List that specifies each criteria and the tax selection profile to use for the criteria for choosing a tax selection profile as a set of normalized values.
