Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
Balance Configuration
Balance Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage price components including aggregation selectors, balances and balance classes, balance state update profiles and components, meters, and rollover profiles and components.

An aggregation selector defines an aggregation grouping using matrices.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  The following information describes the My MATRIXX interface.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configuration to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles, and generators.

  The following information describes the tasks that can be performed using the My MATRIXX Home menu.
- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.

  Charging Configuration has the interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, product offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
  - Balance Configuration
    Balance Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage price components including aggregation selectors, balances and balance classes, balance state update profiles and components, meters, and rollover profiles and components.
    - When to Use a Balance or a Balance Class
      In a pricing plan, in the balance to impact, the quantity definition in a rating formula, and the balance examined by a balance normalizer, you have the option to select a balance or a balance class that gets used during rating.

      An aggregation selector defines an aggregation grouping using matrices.
      - Create an Aggregation Selector
        Follow this task to create an aggregation selector. Use aggregation selectors to define aggregation groupings using matrices.
      - Change an Aggregation Selector
        You can change any property of an aggregation selector. All existing composite meter instances in a wallet that reference the aggregation selector are updated with the changes.
      - Copy an Aggregation Selector
        You can create a copy of an aggregation selector.
      - Delete an Aggregation Selector
        Deleting an aggregation selector removes the aggregation grouping. It does not remove instances of that aggregation selector from a composite meter.
      - Aggregation Selector Properties
        The aggregation selector properties include a name and an ID that are used to identify the aggregation selector in MATRIXX Engine. Aggregation selector properties are listed in pricing/r_aggregation_selector_properties.html#r_aggregation_selector_properties__table_iky_1pk_3tb.
    - Balance Classes
      Balance classes specify whether a balance is an asset or currency and define how balance template properties display.
    - Balance State Update
      A balance state update component implements the business logic that decides which balance state update profile to select during rating for a given set of normalization parameters. A balance state update profile is a catalog component that defines how to modify the end time of a balance instance in a subscription or group wallet when the additional assets or currencies are purchased for that balance instance.
    - Balances
      A balance is a quantity of a currency or asset that is used for tracking and charging for service usage and service-related operations, such as recurring cycle fees.
    - Balance Tags
      Balance tags are a subset of a balance class. Pricing Admin associate balance templates with balance tags, and then refer to balances from the subset of templates that share a specified tag.
    - Dynamic Balances and Meters
      Balance and meter instances can be created dynamically in response to network usage events. A dynamic balance can be simple or periodic, and can represent a quantity of a currency or an asset. A dynamic meter can track charge amount, discount amount, or usage quantity.
    - Meters
      A meter is a non-financial counter that tracks service usage, charges to a balance, balance discounts, balance amounts, or the overdraft amount of a set of balances.
    - Rollovers
      Balance rollover occurs at the end of a period when the unused portion of a prepaid, periodic asset balance, for example, voice minutes or data, is made available for charging usage in subsequent periods. Balance rollovers are handled the same for individual product offers and offers in bundles; all available non-supplemental product offers are evaluated in order of priority until an applicable rollover component is found.
  - Pricing Configuration
    Pricing Configuration contains interfaces you use to create pricing plan components. Pricing plan components managed through this interface include decision tables, finance and service contracts, filters, price components including charges, discounts, grants, refunds, and forfeitures, and rate tags.
  - Offer and Bundle Configuration
    Offer and Bundle Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage pricing and rating components including bundles, offer priority generators, product offers, and product service types and attributes.
  - Normalizer Configuration
    Normalizer Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage normalizers, normalizer templates, and normalizer value lists.
  - Tax Configuration
    Tax Configuration contains interfaces you use to create and manage tax classes and selectors, and US taxation. You must have the Manage Tax domain user role to enable this menu.
  - General Configuration
    General Configuration has interfaces you use to create pricing plan components. Pricing plan components managed through this interface include announcements, product and system attributes and definitions, currency codes for rate tables, denial codes, field definitions for use in normalizers and rate tables, Diameter Final-Unit-Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, General Ledger (GL) transaction types and info generators, grace period profiles, languages, notification profiles, parameter definitions, pre/post-rating profiles and generators, SH Repository data, Subscriber Information Query components, tax classes for offer categorization, usage quota profiles and components, purge profiles, virtual fields, and usage triggers.
  - Application Configuration
    Application Configuration components are used by My MATRIXX for creating pricing plan items and are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.
- Policy Configuration
  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating.

Aggregation Selector Properties

The aggregation selector properties include a name and an ID that are used to identify the aggregation selector in MATRIXX Engine. Aggregation selector properties are listed in Aggregation Selector Properties.

Property	Description
ID	A unique ID generated by My MATRIXX and used internally during rating.
Name	A descriptive name for the aggregation selector.
Description	Information about the aggregation selector.
External ID	(Optional) Use this field to identify this item in MATRIXX pricing items. An External ID is saved to the pricing configuration file and loaded into the Pricing Database. Set the External ID value to any alphanumeric character that is meaningful to your implementation. An External ID can be used, for example, to relate offers in the MATRIXX system to products in an external pricing plan. It can be used, for example, by the Subscriber Management API to query and purchase product offers and bundle IDs.
Start Date/Time	The date the object becomes active in the pricing database and is first available for use. Optionally, a time for when the object becomes active can be entered. The default is midnight. If applicable, the range in which the start date/time must fall is listed. For example: Choose a date on or before 2021-12-01 Choose a date on or after 2020-01-27 Choose a date between 2000-01-02 and 2021-10-04 Note: If you are creating a new revision of this object, the start date/time must be greater than the start date/time of the previous revision and less than the start date/time of the next revision. If you are making a copy of this object, the start date/time is not copied. The new object is the first revision, so it has the default start date of 2000-01-01.
Aggregation Selector Tables	Create an ordered list of matrices including the default result. Add an existing decision table or create a new decision table.
