Engine Monitoring
MATRIXX Engines are detected by requesting the engine custom resource (CR) files using topology-agent. The files contain the engine details including status and auto-healing failure count.
For the gtc-sync-health-check each engine must be in a started state before detection can occur. A single engine started is permitted if the remaining engines are disabled by failed auto-healing. For the brain, engines can be started or in the disabled state.
During the engine detection the status of the engines are monitored and logged to both the gtc-sync-health-check and brain log files.
Within both components the engines are mapped into a set of ordered engine IDs. This ensures the active standby engines can be found irrespective of whether the engines change state.
