Relay SCCP Address Configuration Parameters

Use configuration parameters in create_config.py to define the SCCP address for relaying incoming TCAP messages from subscribers who cannot be found in the MATRIXX database to another platform.

You can define the default relay SCCP address for each of the following services:
  • Voice services — You can configure a separate default relay SCCP address per voice service.
  • SMS services — You can configure a separate default relay SCCP address per SMS service.
  • USSD services — You can configure only one default relay SCCP address to be used for all incoming USSD service codes (including USSD queries, USSD call back, USSD menus).
The questions in create_config.info for configuring the relay SCCP address are the same for each service. Relay SCCP Address Parameters describes the relay SCCP address configuration parameters.
Note: Questions for each service type use the following prefixes:
  • VCS voice_service_name: — For voice services, where the name of the voice service replaces voice_service_name.
  • SMS sms_service_name: — For SMS services, where the name of the SMS service replaces sms_service_name.
  • USSDIncoming default_ussd_service: — For USSD services. USSD relay works only for non-segmented SCCP/MAP messages. If USSD service receives a segmented SCCP/MAP message, it returns a MAP error and logs a warning message.

Parameter Description Default Value
Enable Relay SCCP Answer y to enable CCF to relay incoming TCAP messages for subscribers who cannot be found in the MATRIXX subscriber database to the specified relay SCCP address. If you answer n, the create_config.info questions for defining the relay SCCP address are not asked.

create_config.info question: Do you wish to enable relay sccp for the service?

n
SCCP Address Specifies the value to use in the calling party address field of the SCCP message. Valid values are:
  • pc — To specify a point code as the calling party address. You must answer another question to specify the point code.
  • gt — To specify a global title as the calling party address. You must answer more questions to specify the global title.

create_config.info question: Enter the relay SCCP address type (pc/gt)?

pc
Point Code If you set SCCP Address to pc, specifies the point code to use in the SCCP calling party address.

create_config.info question: Enter the relay SCCP point code?

0
GT Type If you set SCCP Address to gt, specifies the global title type to use in the SCCP calling address. Valid values are:
  • 1 — Use digits and nature of address.
  • 2 — Use digits and translation type.
  • 3 — Use digits, translation type, and numbering plan.
  • 4 — Use digits, translation type, numbering plan, and nature of address.

create_config.info question: Enter the relay SCCP global title type (pc/gt)?

3
GT Digits If you set SCCP Address to gt, specifies the global title digits to use in the SCCP calling party address. You must specify a non-negative integer.

  • 6 — Land mobile numbering plan (ITU-T E.212).
  • 7 — ISDN/mobile numbering plan (ITU-T E.214).
  • All other values are spare or reserved.
