Daily Roaming Pass for Multiple Countries Example

In this example, a subscriber has a daily roaming pass allowance of 500MB per visited country for a 24-hour period.

The subscriber visits several countries in the same day. Charges and grants are applied for each country using a separate balance instance per country by using a dynamic balance template with a country field or an aggregation selector with a normalizer on the country code as the key definition to allow a balance instance to be created on-demand only when needed.
  1. The subscriber travels to Malaysia. On first data usage, a balance instance with a 500MB grant is created for Malaysia and is valid for 24-hours.
  2. The subscriber travels to Thailand on the same day. On first data usage in Thailand, another balance instance with a 500MB grant is created for Thailand and is valid for 24-hours.
  3. The subscriber travels back to Malaysia on the same day. The balance instance for Malaysia is used again with the remaining grant.
