Using Selective Updates

Selective updates are commands that manipulate message contents at specific processing points as a message progresses through the MATRIXX Engine. They cause the system to update an MDC and perform basic transformations on the contained data.

You define selective update elements by running the create_config.py script, which adds each element to the necessary location in the creat_config.info file. The location (interface) determines which service task performs the necessary operation.

For more information about selective updates, see the discussion about selective updates in MATRIXX Integration.
