Using My MATRIXX
You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configurations to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles and generators.

- About My MATRIXX Help
  My MATRIXX Help provides information about My MATRIXX, a Web application that offers a central location for creating pricing plans and configuring MATRIXX Digital Commerce charging and rating behaviors. My MATRIXX is intended for pricing administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining pricing plans and for IT administrators or developers who configure the rating and charging behavior of the online charging system.

  My MATRIXX is a Web application you use to create pricing plans and configure features of MATRIXX Digital Commerce that drive run-time charging and policy behavior.
- Using My MATRIXX
  You use My MATRIXX to validate and compile the pricing configuration file, compile pricing, and set up and manage user roles and domains; create and manage catalog items and catalogs, manage eligibility features and rules, and manage the Normalizers interface; create and manage balances, pricing, offers and bundles, general components, and application-related components; and policies for charging and rating. Use General Configurations to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles and generators.
  - Copying Pricing Items in My MATRIXX
    You can copy various My MATRIXX pricing items to make a near-duplicate copy of that item, which can save time during catalog creation. The new copy will contain the property values in the original item, except for the object ID, which is generated automatically by My MATRIXX, and a unique name, which you provide when you make the copy.
  - Sorting and Filtering Items in a List
    Some My MATRIXX interfaces provide list screens that contain the items that have been created or configured for that interface. For example, the list screen for event types lists all event type objects. Lists are in table format with column headings. You can sort items in a list, filter items in a list, and set how many items to display in a list. For example, you can sort event types by their object ID in ascending or descending order and you can search for a normalizer template in a list based on the normalizer template Description value. Certain columns within the tables of the My MATRIXX interfaces support sorting. Any sortable column is indicated by a sort icon next to the column header.
  - Performing a Global Search
    You can perform global searches to search for all the items that match a global search string. The search results display all the items with matching indexed tags, such as items for which the ID, name, description, or external ID match the search string. For example, a search for the string "15" finds all the items that have 15 in the ID, Name, Description, or External ID fields. It also finds other items that have matching index tags, such as balances with a filter ID of 15 or that end 15 days after the purchase date.
  - Configuring Column Display
    My MATRIXX allows you to configure which columns are displayed and the column order for most data tables. The customized columns are persistent. If the text in an optional column cannot be shown in full, ellipses display at the end of the text. Mouse over the table cell to display the full text.
  - Planning a Pricing Plan
    Before you create a _glossary/pricing_plan.html, you should determine how you want to name, organize, and set up the items that comprise planning a pricing plan.
  - Pricing Corrections and Revisions
    You can make corrections and revisions to all pricing items except balance classes, meter classes, balances, meters, and products. For information about product offer versions, see the discussion about product offers in Pricing and Rating.
  - Caveats About Changing and Deleting Pricing Items
    Changing and deleting pricing items from a pricing plan when there are already active _glossary/subscription.html in the system can cause errors during charging and rating. This topic lists several caveats to note before changing or deleting items, and provides information on how to do so safely.
  - Specifying MDC Field Keys
    Several pricing configuration items have definitions that include MDCs and MDC field names, such as normalizer template fields, event field mappings, and so forth. When specifying an MDC name in the edit field for any of these configuration items, you can begin typing an MDC name or MDC field name and a drop-down list of all valid MDC containers available to the component that you are creating appears. After specifying an MDC name, you can specify an MDC field name in the drop-down menu in the field value field. Available fields are determined by the selected MDC.

- Catalog Configuration
  Catalog Configuration contains the Catalog Items interface that you use to create, change, or delete catalog items; the Eligibility interface to manage eligibility features and rules to determine whether a subscriber, group, or device is eligible for a catalog item; and the Normalizers interface you use to edit normalizers.
- Charging Configuration
  Charging Configurations contains interfaces you use to create and manage balance, pricing, offer and bundle, general, and application-related components.
- Policy Configuration
  Policy configuration components are used by MATRIXX Charging Application and MATRIXX Policy Application for charging and rating. The policy configuration components that you can create in the sub-interfaces of this interface include policy session mappings, spending limit policy, spending limit policy counters, spending limit policy profiles, spending limit policy templates, session management policy event triggers, session management policy event trigger groups, session management policy, session management policy profiles, session management policy QoS profiles, and session management policy static or dynamic PCC rules.

Using My MATRIXX

Use General Configurations to create components that support pricing items and charging functionality such as announcements pricing components, attribute definitions, denial codes, products, decision tables, Final Unit Indication (FUI) profiles and generators, general ledger transaction types, notification profiles, normalizer templates, and subscriber information query actions, profiles and generators.

You must have the Domain role of Pricing User to create product pricing items and the Domain role of Configuration User to create application configuration components.

CAUTION: Changing pricing data when active users might cause problems during rating. For example, if you add balances to a product offer, and subscribers already own an instance of the product offer, the subscribers will not get those balances. If you delete a balance template from the database, any balance instances created from that template and in a subscriber or group wallet will be unable to reference the template data. If you modify a balance template after an offer that references the balance has been purchased, the subscriber or group wallet will be unable to reference the modified template data.
